The Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) has launched a Call for Proposals in Uganda to support civil society organizations working on advancing conflict prevention and protecting women and girls in conflict and humanitarian contexts.
WPHF seeks to fund qualifying local organizations in Uganda through the following funding streams:
- Programmatic funding from 30,000 USD to 200,000 USD
To finance programmatic activities of civil society organizations aimed at (i) Increased meaningful participation and decision-making of women in conflict prevention processes and response (in line with WPHF impact area 2); and (ii) Enhanced safety, security and mental health of women and girls’ and their human rights respected (in line with WPHF impact area 5).
- Institutional funding from 2,500 USD to 30,000 USD
To reinforce the institutional capacity of women’s rights and women-led organizations working on the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Uganda to ensure they are able to sustain themselves and to improve their impact (in line with WPHF impact area 1).
PLEASE NOTE: AN ORGANIZATION CAN ONLY APPLY ONE TIME FOR PROGRAMMATIC FUNDING AND/OR ONE TIME FOR INSTITUTIONAL FUNDING. ORGANIZATIONS WHO APPLY FOR BOTH STREAMS NEED TO SUBMIT TWO SEPARATE APPLICATIONS PACKAGES BASED ON THE REQUIREMENTS AND RELATED TEMPLATES OF EACH STREAM.
