The Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund is thrilled to announce its latest call for proposals in Burundi to enhance the meaningful participation and decision making of women in conflict prevention processes.
WPHF seeks to fund qualifying local organizations and projects led by and working alongside women and girls in Burundi that are high impact, innovative and contribute directly to the following objectives:
- Increase the meaningful participation and decision-making of women in conflict prevention processes;
- Reinforce the institutional capacity of civil society organizations working on women peace and security.
This call for proposals makes available financing for local civil society organizations in Burundi through two primary funding streams:
- Funding Stream 1: Institutional funding from 2,500 USD to 30,000 USD
To provide institutional financing to local civil society organizations working on women peace and security, aiming to reinforce their institutional skills and capacity (aligned with WPHF Outcome 1).
- Funding Stream 2: Programmatic funding from 30,000 USD to 200,000 USD
To support CSO projects and programmatic activities contributing to the meaningful participation and enhanced decision-making of women in conflict prevention processes and interventions (aligned with WPHF Outcome 2).
PLEASE NOTE: AN ORGANIZATION CAN ONLY APPLY ONCE, EITHER TO ONE OR BOTH STREAMS. ORGANIZATIONS WHO CHOOSE TO APPLY FOR BOTH STREAMS WILL NEED TO SUBMIT TWO APPLICATION PACKAGES BASED ON THE REQUIREMENTS AND RELATED TEMPLATES OF EACH STREAM.
