Project Highlights

Explore a sample of key women’s rights and women-led projects that WPHF has supported across the country:

  • Under its Regular Funding Cycle, WPHF supported Sanad Youth for Development Organization (SANAD) with institutional funding to enhance its crisis response efforts and better respond to the needs of women and girls affected by the 2023 earthquake. Our funding helped SANAD develop gender-inclusive protection, risk management, financial, and HR policies and procedures, while also strengthening staff capacities through crisis management and protection awareness workshops.
  • Under its Regular Funding Cycle, WPHF supported the Syrian Youth Council (SYC) to address the emergency needs of women and girls following the 2023 earthquake in Syria through psychosocial, protection, and health support. With our support, SYC established a Youth Friendly Space (YFS) that fostered an innovative and inclusive environment for young people. Through this space, 10 youths, 9 of whom were women, launched small businesses, and over 1,141 women and girls accessed gender-based violence response services and referrals.
  • Under its Regular Funding Cycle, WPHF supported Mosaic for Relief and Humanitarian Development (MOSAIC) to advance the protection of Syrian women and girls affected by the 2023 earthquake. As a result, 827 women and girls have gained improved access to sexual and reproductive health (SRHR) services, mental health and psychosocial support, and gender-based violence prevention services through a newly established center and mobile teams. 77% of them reported increased awareness of their rights and self-protection mechanisms against discrimination.
