In 2011, fleeing the war in Syria, Israa Tateen arrived in Lebanon and participated in a training on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) led by Developmental Action to People – Mousawat, an organization dedicated to promoting gender equality and women’s rights and providing psychosocial support to gender-based violence (GBV) survivors in northern Lebanon. She currentlyworks asaMonitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Manager and PSEA Focal Pointat Mousawat, where she supportsthe organization’starget groups, volunteers, and team members through the creation of safe spaces and the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse.
IsraaTateen from Developmental Action for All People – Mousawat, together with RouaDandachi from the Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering (RDFL), will develop a peer learning projectfocused ontrainings and sitevisits.Israa and team members fromMousawat will train RDFL on PSEA issues, while Roua and herteam from RDFL will train Mousawaton the management ofGBV cases. Both CSOs will subsequently raiseawareness among their target groups on sexual harassment and how to benefit from the services offered by the organizations.
