The Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund is thrilled to announce its latest call for proposals in Liberia to strengthen inclusive and gender-responsive humanitarian action and enhance women’s meaningful participation in peacebuilding and economic recovery.
WPHF seeks to fund qualifying local organizations and projects led by and working alongside women and girls in Liberia that are high impact, innovative and contribute directly to the following objectives:
- strengthening inclusive and gender-responsive humanitarian and crisis response
- enhancing women’s participation and leadership in peacebuilding and socio-economic recovery
This Call for Proposals makes available financing for local civil society organizations in Liberia through programmatic funding from 30,000 USD to 200,000 USD.
Applicants should select ONE of the following two thematic areas and clearly highlight to which thematic area they are applying:
- Thematic Area 1: Enhancing inclusive and gender responsive humanitarian/crisis planning, frameworks, and programming (aligned with WPHF Impact Area 3: Humanitarian and Crisis Response).
OR
- Thematic Area 2: Improving socio-economic recovery and political participation of women and girls in peacebuilding contexts (aligned with WPHF impact Area 6: Recovery and Peacebuilding).
PLEASE NOTE: AN ORGANIZATION CAN ONLY APPLY TO ONE THEMATIC AREA. ORGANIZATIONS CANNOT APPLY MULTIPLE TIMES OR TO BOTH THEMATIC AREAS. APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED IN ENGLISH.
