Intergenerational Dialogue

The Intergenerational Dialogue was held in May 2026 and brought together young activists and seasoned leaders to exchange perspectives on peacebuilding and humanitarian action. This conversation highlighted the power of bridging generations — combining fresh energy with lived experience — to strengthen collective strategies for advancing women’s leadership and financing grassroots solutions.

As part of a broader co-creation process, the discussions and outcomes fed directly into shaping the agenda of the Global Women’s Peace Forum, ensuring it reflects diverse voices and shared priorities.

Regional Consultations

Regional Consultations were held across WPHF’s active countries between August and September 2026, engaging civil society organizations and women human rights defenders to validate priorities and share frontline perspectives. These dialogues captured regional diversity — from Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Europe — ensuring that the realities of women leaders were at the heart of the process.

As part of a broader co-creation effort, the insights and outcomes from these consultations directly shaped the agenda of the Global Women’s Peace Forum, grounding it in diverse voices and collective priorities.

Main Forum Agenda

Geneva, October 2026

2026: A Year of Milestones. A Moment to Move Forward.

2026 comes at a pivotal moment for women’s rights, peace and security. It follows a landmark year of anniversaries:

50 years of CEDAW
30 years of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action
25 years of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda
10 years of WPHF

At the same time, the United Nations is embarking on UN80, an ambitious effort to make the UN more effective, responsive, and fit for the challenges ahead.

It is the perfect moment to ask a critical question: what will it take to turn decades of commitments into lasting change?

For WPHF, the answer is investing in women and the civil society organizations working at the forefront of peace and humanitarian action. This is what we have done over the past decade.

From Commitment to Action: “Peace Is” Women Coming Together

The Global Women’s Peace Forum is a moment to turn WPHF’s Peace Is Campaign from a call for commitment into a call for action.

Peace Is women coming together to shape the decisions that affect their lives, their communities and their futures. The Forum will bring together women peacebuilders, civil society organizations, governments, donors, and allies to move these commitments forward, creating space for honest conversations, concrete pledges, and collective action.
