Call for Proposals in Ethiopia

The Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund is thrilled to announce its latest Call for Proposals in Ethiopia to support local civil society organizations working to enhance women’s leadership in humanitarian and crisis response and to ensure the rights protection of women and girls.

WPHF seeks to fund qualifying local organizations in all regions of Ethiopia through the following funding streams:

  • Programmatic funding from 30,000 USD to 200,000 USD

To finance programmatic activities of CSOs that (i) increase the participation and leadership of women in humanitarian crisis planning and response (aligned with WPHF impact area 3); and (ii) enhance the safety, security and mental health of women and girls and ensure their human rights are respected (aligned with WPHF impact area 5).

  • Institutional funding from 2,500 USD to 30,000 USD

To reinforce the institutional capacity of local CSOs working on gender-specific issues in peace and security and humanitarian contexts — including the humanitarian action and rights protection of women and girls — and enabling them to sustain their efforts and enhance their impact (in line with WPHF impact area 1).

PLEASE NOTE: An organization can only apply one time for programmatic funding AND/OR one time for institutional funding. Organizations who apply for both streams need to submit two SEPARATE applications packages based on the requirements and related templates of each stream.
Complete Application packages IN ENGLISH should be emailed to: Wpsha-ethiopia@unwomen.org
Application deadline: 26 APRIL 2022
