Analisa Leonor Balares

Analisa Leonor Balares is Chair of Womensphere Interactive, Womensphere Global Institutes, and Womensphere Foundation, where she oversees a global portfolio, including leadership accelerators, summits, consulting, education, and new media. She is an innovator, producer, humanitarian, and creator of platforms to empower the next generation of women and multicultural leaders, dedicated to equality, empowering people, and creating a more inclusive and sustainable future.

Balares is Venture Partner at NYC-based technology venture capital firm Versatile Venture Capital. She is a Global Advisor at NED Biosystems, a clinical-stage biotech firm developing systemic treatments for COVID-19 and cancer.

Balares also serves as Commissioner at Women’s Refugee Commission; Member of Women Moving Millions; Advisory Board Member of Infinity Capital, Music Beyond, Wearing Irish, Women & Girls Africa; and National Innovators Initiative Philippines. She is an International Gender Champion and Action Coalition Member of UN Women’s Generation Equality Campaign. She is also a NASA Datanaut, supporting NASA’s Open Innovation initiatives and NASA Global Space Apps Challenge.

Balares was recognized as a UBS Global Visionary and World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, honored among the 100 Most Influential Filipinas in the World, and received Distinguished Leader Awards from UN Women New York, Society of Foreign Consuls NY, The State of New York, and WNBA.

Balares previously worked in investment banking (Goldman Sachs High Technology Group and Morgan Stanley Energy & Power Group) and product management, strategy, business development, and marketing at Microsoft, Milestone Capital, and 85 Broads (now Ellevate).

She is an alumna of Harvard Business School, Mount Holyoke College, Lester Pearson United World College, and New York Film Academy.
